The Meshima mushroom (Phellinus Linteus) grows on mulberry trees indigenous to a Japanese island bearing the same name, which literally means "Women's Island." Research demonstrates that Meshima may increase the activity of B cells and T lymphocytes as well as increase cytotoxic activity of NK cells.* In a comparative study conducted in Japan, an extract from Meshima demonstrated strongest activity among 17 mushrooms. In recent studies in the US Meshima also demonstrated strongest immune enhancing activity in maintaining healthy breast cells.*
